Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan sign Road Map on cooperation in agriculture

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan signed a Road Map on cooperation in agriculture, Report informs, referring to the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the information, the document was signed at the First Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Tashkent.

Within the meeting, Azerbaijani Minister Inam Karimov met with his Uzbek counterpart Jamshid Khojayev. The meeting focused on fulfilling the tasks of strengthening the cooperation set by President Ilham Aliyev after his last official visit to Uzbekistan, as well as the future directions of the cooperation. In the end, the Road Map on cooperation in agriculture was signed. The document reflects the two countries' exchange of experience in the agrarian insurance system, digitalization of agriculture, state support mechanisms for agriculture, creation of a joint venture in sericulture and other issues.

Karimov also held bilateral meetings with Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States, Askarbek Janibekov, Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, and Erbol Karashukeyev, Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.

A final declaration was adopted at the end of the First Meeting of Ministers of Agriculture of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
