Azerbaijan and IICA to sign Memorandum of Understanding at COP29 in Baku

The Agricultural Research Center (ARC) of Azerbaijan and the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) are set to sign a memorandum of understanding during the upcoming COP29 conference in Baku, Beverly Best, Director of External and Institutional Relations at IICA, said during an online meeting with the ARC management.

IICA's representative in the United States, Margaret Zeigler, noted that the institute will be represented at COP29 by a large delegation, which plans to hold meetings in Baku on issues related to sustainable agriculture and the application of agrifood systems. The meeting was also attended by Rashad Huseynov, Director of ARC, Namik Shalbuzov, Deputy Director, Joaquin Arias, Coordinator of the Observatory of Public Policies for Agrifood Systems (OPSAa) - IICA's digital platform, and Eugenia Salazar, an economist.
