"Although the traditional buyers of Kazakh grain are Central Asian countries, we want to increase our export share in markets such as Azerbaijan and Turkey," Head of the Trade Committee of the Grain Union of Kazakhstan, Alexander Malov, a participant of the 12th International Grain Trade Conference "Global Grain Outlook 2022" held in Baku, told Report.
According to him, Kazakhstan is currently working in this direction.
"Since October, we have started loading the grain to be sent to Azerbaijan. In our opinion, Kazakh grain can play an important role in improving product quality in the domestic market. So, we guarantee the high quality of our product. We can also export finished flour to the Azerbaijani market," Malov said.
He also stressed that they see Turkiye as an additional market.
