The next meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship was held online today. The meeting discussed the draft law "On Amendments to the Tax Code" and recommended it for consideration in the plenary session.
According to the current Tax Code, the import and sale of wheat, production, and sale of wheat flour and bread - from January 1, 2017, for four years are exempt from VAT.
However, according to the current amendment, the import and sale of wheat, production, and sale of wheat flour and bread are exempt from VAT for 1 to 7 years from January 1, 2017. At the same time, the VAT exemption period for the production and sale of bran is extended for three years.
According to the current Code, bran production and sale are exempt from VAT for 1 to 2 years from March 1, 2019.
