90 tons of honey sold at fair in Baku

About 90 tons of apiculture products were sold at the honey fair held October 1-20, organized jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Azerbaijan Beekeepers Association, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Agriculture.

This is 10% less than at last year’s honey fair.

Each beekeeper participating in the fair could sell a maximum of 400 kg of honey and no more than 30 honey frames in combs.

This time, products from all Azerbaijani districts where there are beekeeping farms were put up for sale. Farmers from the East Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions presented their products for the first time at the fair.

As many as 120 tons of products were presented at the fair, of which 5 tons were in the East Zangazur and Karabakh economic regions. The quality of products was carefully checked by the Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan.
