All parties must work together to build a climate‑resilient food system, Mukhtar Babayev, Azerbaijani President's Representative for Climate Issues, said on the second day of Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW 2026), Report informs.
According to Babayev, climate resilience must become an integral part of how we think about the future of agriculture.
"This should not be seen as an additional requirement, but as a condition for the long‑term success of agriculture. This approach requires the joint efforts of governments, international partners, financial institutions, the private sector, and farmers themselves. The goal is ambitious, but we have the opportunity to build stronger and climate‑resilient food systems," he said.
