The implementation of the State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fishery and Aquaculture Products for 2026-2030 will be kept under special control.
Report informs that Zeynal Naghdaliyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Territorial and Organizational Issues Department of the Presidential Administration, said this in a statement to journalists at a regional meeting in Guba.
According to him, the program marks a new stage in the reforms carried out by President Ilham Aliyev in the agricultural sector and sets more ambitious targets.
"Serious results have been achieved in recent years in cotton growing, hazelnut production and other areas. At the same time, under the new program, increasing productivity, reducing dependence on grain imports and strengthening the country's food security are among the main goals," Naghdaliyev said.
He noted that all measures, implementing bodies and deadlines had been defined in the State Program.
"The issues raised must be resolved. All tasks envisaged in the State Program must be fulfilled, and their implementation will be kept under strict control," he said.
