Azerbaijan starts selling barley to 2 more countries

In January-November last year, 31,337 tons of barley were sent from Azerbaijan abroad for $6.087 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
In 2020, the country exported no barley at all.
Compared to the same period in 2019, exports increased by 2.3 times in value terms and by 94.4% in quantitative terms.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold 28,164 tons of products worth $5.476 million per year to Iraq, 1,258 tons for $239,150 to Afghanistan, 1,560 tons worth $300,590 to Iran, and 353.9 tons for $70,780 to Turkey.
Export to Iraq resumed after a year and five month hiatus, and supplies to Iran restarted after a year and six months hiatus. Last year, for the first time, barley was delivered from Azerbaijan to Afghanistan and Turkey.
In January-November 2020, the country imported 14,007 tons of barley for $2.880 million, a drop of 67.98% and 61.1% from the same period last year, respectively.
Azerbaijan purchased 13,803 tons of products from Russia for $2.845 million, from Kazakhstan - 204 tons for $34,860. Deliveries from Russia decreased by 70.56% and 64.47%, while imports from Kazakhstan dropped by 91.1% and 90.76%, respectively.
