Azerbaijan starts importing turkey meat from 2 more countries

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 3,315 tons of turkey meat (fresh or chilled, frozen) worth $4.4 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is 56% more than the 2022 figure in value terms and 45% more in quantitative terms.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported products from Brazil, Russia, Portugal, Canada, Türkiye and other countries.
Last year, for the first time in the last 13 years, supplies were made from Belarus (38.83 tons worth $78,110) and Kazakhstan (56 tons worth $115,760).
In 2022, of the turkey meat imported to Azerbaijan (from 14 countries) worth $2.8 million, 29.6% came from Russia, 16.2% from Portugal, 14.8% from Türkiye, 13.2% from Canada and 12.2% from Brazil.
