Azerbaijan's profit from sugar exports dwindles in 1H22

From January through June 2022, Azerbaijan imported sugar and sugar confectionery for $93.952 million, 9.6% less compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan earned $10.52 million from sugar and sugar confectionery exports, 45.9% less than a year ago.

During the six months, the cost of sugar import made 1.48% of the total imports, and the income from sugar exports was 0.06% of the total export revenues.
