Azerbaijan resumes melon exports to Belarus

Azerbaijan exported 192 tons of melons, valued at $187,000 during the first seven months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
The data shows an 82-percent decline in volume and a 46-percent decrease in value compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold 137.93 tons (-52%) of melons to Russia for $144,000 (-46%), 2.6 tons to Saudi Arabia for $29,200 (no supply a year ago), 32.7 tons to Belarus for $8,180, and 18.5 tons to Moldova for $5,550 (no supply a year ago).
Azerbaijan has resumed melon exports to Belarus after a 1 year and 10 month break.
