Azerbaijan may attract Saudi investments to its agricultural sector

Attracting investments from Saudi Arabia to the agrarian sector of Azerbaijan was discussed in Baku today, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry.

The negotiations were held today during the meeting of the Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov with a delegation led by the co-chairman of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Joint Business Council, General Director of Al Rajhi International for Investment Ahmed Ali Al Dahil.

Assessing the potential of Azerbaijan's export of fruit and vegetables to the market of Saudi Arabia, the participants noted that there is great potential between the two countries for expanding ties in agriculture.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan, the government's priorities in the agricultural sector, as well as innovations. The parties touched upon the issues of increasing the import-export turnover of agricultural products, attracting investment in the agricultural sector of Azerbaijan.
