Russia exported 1.4 million tonnes of grain to Azerbaijan in the 2019/20 season, which constituted 4% of the country’s total grain export, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In the 2019/20 season, Russia exported 9 million tonnes of grain to Turkey, 22% of total export.
In the reporting period, Russia exported 6 million tonnes of grain (15% of total grain export) to Egypt, 2.1 million tonnes (5%) to Bangladesh, 1.5 million tonnes (4%) to Saudi Arabia.
At the beginning of the season, Russia exported 40.2 million tonnes of grain in total. The export also includes 32.2 million tonnes of wheat, which is 7.6% less than the previous season. At the same time, 3.9 million tonnes of barley were exported during the season, down 14.6% from a season ago.
Moreover, during the season, Russia exported 3.8 million tonnes of corn, with an increase of 45.9% compared to a season earlier. The export of other cereals dropped by 54.9% to 0.3 million.
Russia exported 45 million tonnes of cereals in the 2019/20 season.
