Around 20 universities join AI project in Azerbaijan's agriculture sector

Nearly 20 higher education institutions have been involved in an artificial intelligence (AI) project aimed at supporting Azerbaijan's agricultural sector, Anar Jafarov, Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture, told Report's correspondent in Aghdam.

Jafarov noted that companies offering various smart solutions have been represented at agriculture-related festivals.

"I would also like to note that our startups participating in each Business Festival are represented in a dedicated startup zone. In this regard, we are implementing the project AI application in agriculture. We are carrying out this project together with nearly 20 universities. Within the project, our startups directly study farmers' challenges and propose smart solutions. Following each interaction between farmers and startups, even more innovative solutions are developed," he said.
