Baku. 4 April. REPORT.AZ/ Turkish authorities will support travel agencies in the amount of 6,000 dollars for each charter flight, engaged in the carriage of Russian tourists to Turkey in April and May.Report informs referring to RIA Novosti, it is stated in the report of the Turkish Embassy in Russia.

From 1 April to 31 May 2015 the Turkish authorities will support travel agencies in the amount of 6,000 dollars for each charter flight, engaged in the carriage of tourists to Turkey from Russian Federation.If a charter flight at the same time carries tourists of several agencies, the amount will be divided proportionally to the number of passengers on each agency, the embassy said.

For support, the travel agency must submit an application to the General Directorate of Investment Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.

More than 4,38 million Russian citizens visited Turkey in 2014, but the number of Russian tourists in Antalya for the first two months of 2015 decreased by 41% compared with the same period last year.In early February, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that, Turkish authorities intend to support the tourism business by government lending and subsidies to air carriers due to economic problems in Russia and some other countries.
