Zelenskyy calls on Congress to speed up making decision on aid package to Ukraine

In order to finally end the war in a fair way, the US Congress should speed up the implementation of the agreements in order to make an appropriate decision on the support package, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said in his address to European Council, Report informs.

He recalled that 17 people were killed and more than 60 were injured as a result of Russia's attack on Chernihiv: "This happens every day. This shows once again that we need air defense systems. Ukraine does not have the defense system we see in the Middle East. This makes us sad. Our territory should be protected from ballistic missiles, "Shahed" drones, and bombs, as in Israel."

Zelenskyy noted that Russia has destroyed almost all of Ukraine's thermal energy: "The other side is attacking dams, hydropower plant equipment, and gas infrastructure."

According to the President, the fight against Russia should be strengthened: "We must be superior to Russia so that the war ends fairly."
