Baku. 3 June. REPORT.AZ/ More than half of British want their country to remain in the European Union.

Report informs referring to Russian media, these are results of a survey conducted in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland and France, the US Pew Research Center (Pew Research Center).

In support of the Kingdom's membership in the EU 55% of British were in favor, while the idea of leaving the EU was supported by 36% of the population.

This opinion they expressed in the two years prior to the referendum on the question of further stay in the EU, which to be held in 2017 on the initiative of Prime Minister David Cameron. The head of the British Cabinet, who is in favor of retaining membership in the European Union, stating that European partners will achieve from the reform community and the return of British authority, previously transferred the EU. At the same time, Cameron does not exclude the possibility that he would support the exit of the UK from the EU, if European partners rejected his demands for reform.
