Obama nominates first Muslim judge to US federal court

Baku. 8 September. REPORT.AZ/ The US President Barack Obama has nominated a Washington, D.C., attorney for the federal bench.

Obama nominated Abid Riaz Qureshi of Maryland for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

If confirmed, he would be the first Muslim American to serve as a federal judge.
