Giorgi Kvirikashvili: Volume of cargo transported by South Caucasus logistics corridor can be increased

Tbilisi. 1 September. REPORT.AZ/. Volume of cargo transported by South Caucasus logistics corridor can be increased. To do this, the existing infrastructure should be updated, new ones should be built."

Georgian bureau of Report informs,Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili told reporters on the results of his visit to Baku.

Giorgi Kvirikashvili said that the increase in the volume of cargo transported by logistics corridor is very important economically: "During the meetings in Baku, we had detailed discussions on development of unified tariff system for the expansion of logistics corridor, security and other issues. We had common position on this issue as well. During the meeting it was noted that increasing the volume of traffic in this corridor is very important to us and we have to increase our efforts in this direction."

According to him, Georgia will act together with Azerbaijan on this issue. Meanwhile, Georgia will hold talks with Chinese government and India.
