Azerbaijani wrestler wins gold in Dagestan, Russia

Baku. 6 July. REPORT.AZ/ Traditional international freestyle wrestling tournament dedicated to the memory of 5-time world champion Ali Aliyev was held in Russian city of Kaspiysk. Report informs, young Azerbaijani wrestler, Joshkun Azimov won a gold medal in the competition held in Dagestan in 65 kg category.

J.Azimov gained a victory over Russian representative, Alibayhaji Amiyev. Ruslan Gasimov (57 kg), Aghahuseyn Mustafayev (61 kg), Mahammadhajı Mukhutov (74 kg) and Galib Aliyev (61 kg) lost in the bronze medal match and ranked 5th in the tournament.

Azerbaijani international referee Natig Hajiyev was among those who managed the competitions.
