Azerbaijani judo fighter wins gold at Pan American Open

Baku. 14 March. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani judo fighter Vugar Shirinli (60kg) has claimed the gold medal at the Pan American Open in Buenos Aires, Argentina after beating Canadian Sergio Pessoa in the final, Report informs.

On the way to the final, Shirinli defeated Argentinian Nicolas Gomez, Turkish Ahmet Kaba and Argentinian Hernan Birbrier.

Azerbaijani female fighter Aisha Gurbanli ranked 5th in the 48kg weight class.

The tournament brings together 288 judo fighters from 60 countries.
