Azerbaijan's judo team to compete in Germany

Baku. 18 February. REPORT.AZ/ National judo team of Azerbaijan will fight in the Grand Prix, to be held in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Report informs, head coach Peter Seisenbacher has taken 13 judokas to fight in the competition, which will start on February 19.

One of them is a woman athlete, Aisha Gurbanli, in 48 kg weight. In men's fights, Azerbaijan will be represented by Orkhan Safarov, Ilgar Mushkiyev (both 60 kg), Tarlan Karimov, Hidayat Heydarov (both 66 kg), Rustam Orujov (73 kg), Abdulhagg Rasullu, Rustam Alimli (both 81 kg), Mammadali Mehdiyev, Shahin Gahramanov (both 90 kg), Elmar Gasimov, Elkhan Mammadov (both 100 kg) and Ushangi Kokauri (over 100 kg).

Notably, 626 judokas from 91 countries will fight in the tournament of license for Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.
