Former Deputy Chairman of Islamic Party of Azerbaijan accused of high treason

Baku. 28 January. REPORT.AZ/ As a result of investigative operational measures conducted by the State Security Service (SSS), reasonable suspicions determined on the citizen of Azerbaijan Republic Ahadov Ingilab Khalil regarding involving in secret cooperation by employees of foreign special service authority, regular implementation of tasks given by that authority since 2011 and high treason by spying against state security of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Report was told at SSS Public Relations Department.

In this regard, Ingilab Ahadov has been detained by Main Investigation Department of the State Security Service as suspected on launched criminal case and on January 27 involved as the accused for Article 274 (high treason) of Criminal Code, preventive measure has been chosen on him in accordance with court decision.

At present, investigative operational measures are underway.

Notably, I.Ahadov is a Former Deputy Chairman of Islamic Party of Azerbaijan.
