Court sentenced Azerbaijani citizen fought for IS in Syria

Baku. 14 December. REPORT.AZ/ Today court proceeding on criminal case of Elshan Adilov, accused for illegally entering to Syria and Iraq and joining terror organizations ended at Baku Court of Grave Crimes.

Report informs, judgement was made in hearing, which was held under the chairmanship of judge Rauf Aliyev.

In accordance with the court decision, E.Adilov was sentenced to 15 years.

Elshan Adilov participated in operations of terrorist organizations of Syria and Iraq during different periods, as well as separate armed groups, including IS ('Islamic State') not stipulated by legislation of Azerbaijan Republic during 2013-2015.
