Official representative: EU appreciates cooperation with Azerbaijan in field of energy

Baku. 19 May. REPORT.AZ/ EU appreciates the cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, the EU official said at a press briefing on Tuesday, Report informs.

"The area of energy, particularly oil and gas, is a long-term areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU.

Our relations in these areas are developed, and I think we have great opportunities for expansion of cooperation in the matter of energy diversification ", the offical said.

The representative reminded that Azerbaijan is currently involved in projects such as the Southern Gas Corridor, which will enable the transportation of hydrocarbons to Europe.

"Cooperation in the energy sector involves many European companies that want to cooperate with Azerbaijan", said European diplomat.

According to the official, the issue of energy diversification in Europe in the context of Azerbaijan will be reflected in the document of the Riga Summit.
