New Canadian Ambassador to Azerbaijan appointed

Baku. 19 July. REPORT.AZ/ A new Canadian Ambassador to Azerbaijan with residence in Ankara, has been appointed.

Report informs referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Foreign Minister Stephane Dion has appointed Chris Cooter for the post of Canadian Ambassador to Turkey and Azerbaijan.

In this position he will succeed John Holmes.

The new ambassador will take office after presenting his credentials to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
