Michael Kindsgrab: Status quo in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict unacceptable

Baku. 5 October. REPORT.AZ/ Germany strongly supports peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Report informs,  Ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan Michael Kindsgrab stated.

"We, as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group make every effort to resume the negotiation process", the diplomat noted.

M.Kindsgrab recalled the visit of German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier ito Baku this summer as a country chairing the OSCE.

"During the visit, the minister has expressed a clear position of support for peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Keeping the status quo is unacceptable. We are in constant contact with both sides to restart the talks with a view to create a peace treaty and work to reduce the escalating", the ambassador said.
