Mammadyarov: Baku-Moscow talks on gas purchase not politically motivated

Baku. 18 March. REPORT.AZ/ Talks of Baku and Moscow on gas purchase is not politically motivated.

Report informs, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said in his interview to 'Kommersant' newspaper, commenting on the fact that the deal on gas purchase in the amount of up to 3 billion cubic meters, Russia and Azerbaijan have so far failed to agree.

"I think that t is the same as if you are looking for a black cat in a dark room, knowing that there is none. As far as I know, contacts between SOCAR and Gazprom are carried out on a regular basis. The prices and parameters are discussed. Two state-owned companies are looking for optimal profits and this is a normal process. Actually the question is upon volumes of supplies", foreign minister said.
