Baku. 29 July. REPORT.AZ/ Iranian Embassy to Azerbaijan clarified the information that Iran has canceled visa requirements for citizens of Azerbaijan.
Report was told in the Embassy, the information is not true and has a nature of reminding.
The embassy also noted that, the issue of increasing the length of stay in the country for more than 15 days can be discussed in the future between the two countries.
Some media quoted the Iranian newspaper Kayhan writes, as part of theplans to boost tourism industry in the country, Iran abolished visas for the citizens of seven countries, including Azerbaijan. At the same time, authorized period of stay in the country increased from 15 to 90 days.
Under current rules, Azerbaijani citizens don't need visas for tourist travel. Duration of stay in the country is limited to 2 weeks.
