Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Malta sign a number of documents

Baku. 29 April. REPORT.AZ/ "Relations between Azerbaijan and Malta are developing well."

Report informs, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malta, George Vella.

According to him, next year, Malta will preside over the EU and in this regard this issue was discussed in detail.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister added that during the meeting he discussed with his counterpart the issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as a number of current regional and global issues, including the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, migration issues.

"We have signed three documents. They are an agreement for avoidance of double taxation, an agreement in the field of youth and sports, as well as a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs", said E.Mammadyarov.

E.Mammadyarov added that Malta is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan in the energy sphere: "My Maltese colleague asked to expand cooperation in terms of the Southern Gas Corridor".
