Chingiz Asgarov: 'Preparation of new judge candidates list to represent Azerbaijan at European Court is underway'

Baku. 16 May. REPORT.AZ/ The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has again returned back the list of judge candidates, which will represent Azerbaijan at the European Court of Human Rights.

Report was told by Chingiz Asgarov, Head of Human Rights Protection Sector of the Department for Work with Law Enforcement Agencies at the Presidential Administration, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the European Court of Human Rights.

Ch.Asgarov said that currently, new list of judge candidates is being prepared: 'After identification of candidates, the list will be again submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe'.

Notably, term of office of Khanlar Hajiyev, the judge representing Azerbaijan at the European Court, ended on October 31, 2015.
