​Ban Ki-moon: Discrimination serves only and only interests of extremists

Report informs, еhe UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said in his video speech at the opening ceremony of the VII Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC).

He said that the aim of such measures is to prevent discrimination: "Discrimination serves only and only interests of extremists. We can't ignore anyone. Next month we will touch upon another sensitive issue. An event on the humanitarian crisis will be held in Istanbul, Turkey. We invite all of you there."

The Secretary-General said that the UN is trying to establish peace in the world: "All the people must be respected. We must support young innovators. Journalists are encouraged to be more active in this case."
