Report informs, speaking at the event, Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots Guljan Myasoutova said that this year was remarkable, because of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of public organizations and the announcement of 2016 - Year of multiculturalism in Azerbaijan.

In turn, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said that in recent years the support for compatriots abroad is one of the main themes of Russia's foreign policy.

According to him, every single vote is important for Russia, especially when Russia is subject to unprecedented information pressure.He added that despite the problems with financing, Russia does not stop support for compatriots abroad.

At the end of the conference the final declaration will be adopted.
