Azerbaijan's Ganja to be CIS sports capital

The Azerbaijani city of Ganja will become the sports capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said following a CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting in Minsk, Report informs.

“We approved the decision to declare the city of Ganja the sports capital of the Commonwealth in 2025, and Almaty (Kazakhstan) in 2026,” Lavrov said.
