San Marino scored first away goal in 15 years

Baku. 12 October. REPORT.AZ/ San Marino team, which is a rival of Azerbaijani team at 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying group stage, has scored its historical goal.

Report informs, Group C team scored its first away goal in 15 years in the World Cup qualifying group stage.

It took place in away match with Norway on October 11.

Mattia Stefanelli scored his team's only goal in the 54th minute.

The team, which lost to Azerbaijani team 0:1 at first home match in current season, scored its away goal in April 25 match with Latvia during World Cup 2002 qualifying group stage.

Notably, San Marino scored its first ever goal in World Cup qualifying stages during the match with Turkey in 1992.
