President of Azerbaijani football club resigns

Baku. 9 August. REPORT.AZ/ President of "Zira" football club Vugar Astanov resigned. Report informs citing the official website of club appealing to founders Vugar Astanov specified reason as heavy burden of work.

Executive director of "Zira" Natig Ismayilov will temporarily serve as the  president of the football club.

Notably, under the presidency of Vugar Astanov the club finished Azerbaijan Premier League with a silver medal.

However, for failing in licensing "Zira" is not allowed to play in European League.
