New state program provides financial support to develop football in Azerbaijan

Baku. 2 June. REPORT.AZ/ "The new draft state program on development of Azerbaijani football is ready." Report informs, Secretary General of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) Elkhan Mammadov said.

He noted that the previous 10-year program ending this year. At the conference of AFFA held on March 6 football community and the government of Azerbaijan was given a report. At the same time, preparatory work of program has begun: "The project is ready. Negotiations with government agencies and organizations are underway. Of course, we take into account the recommendations. I hope that in the future the new program will be approved."

According to the General Secretary, the new state program is planned for 10 years, but recommendations and advice of the state should also be taken into account:"The state in 2005-2015 gave a lot of support to Azerbaijani football and sport in general.We hope that the new state program is planned for 10 years. "

E.Mammadov commented on the information that the alleged State program provides financial assistance to clubs in the amount of 1.5 million manats: "Naturally, we need financial support. However, in the state program the exact amount is unknown."
