Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov invited to Eurasia Cup

The tournament will be attended by 80 players

Baku. 1 June. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov to attend the Eurasia Cup which will start on June 18 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. 

Report informs, 80 intellects from more than 20 countries will compete in two-day tournament.

Women's world champion Hou Yifan, European champion Jan Nepomnyasi, triple world champion Alexander Grischuk and World Cup holders Peter Svidler and Boris Gelfandı will take part in tournament. Multiple world champion Anatoly Karpov will be among the guests of honor.

Notably, Shahriyar Mammadyarov is the world rapid chess champion. At the moment, both he and Hou İfan are in tournament in Shamkir dedicated to the memory of Vugar Gashimov.
