Baku. 21 September. REPORT.AZ/ AFFA will replace artificial turf of 'Dalga Arena' stadium located in the village of Mardyakan of Baku, with natural one.

Report was told by AFFA Secretary General, Elkhan Mammadov.

According to him, the artificial turf of the arena will be replaced with natural. This step is taken in regard with the Baku 2016 UEFA European Under-17 (U-17) Championship:

"Matches of the European Championship will take place in "Dalga Arena". UEFA imposed a number of requirements in regard with the championship. Upon request, all the matches must take place in stadiums either with artificial, or natural covering. However, during the World Cup among girls under 17 years held in Azerbaijan in 2012, the requirements included holding games in the stadium with artificial, parts with a natural covering."

Training base of the national team of Azerbaijan will also be available on the territory of AFFA Football Centre. Opening the base will take place during the visit of UEFA President Michel Platini to Baku on October 10, 2015.
