Requirement of Central Bank for Azerbaijan's commercial banks reaches a historical high

Baku. 5 February. REPORT.AZ/ Requirement of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic (CBAR) to commercial banks increased by 508.8 million manats or 10.38% in December 2015 and amounted to 5 410.2 million AZN. Thus, the volume of loans issued by banks has reached a historic high.

In comparison with January 2015, the CBAR's requirement on commercial banks increased by 2.65 times or 3 931.9 million AZN.

Analytical Group of Report News Agency explains the growth of requirement with the liquidity problems in the banking sector and predicts growth of this index in the coming months.
