Insurance market in Azerbaijan grew by 21%

Baku. 22 February. REPORT.AZ/ In January 2016 the volume of insurance payments via 25 insurance companies in Azerbaijan amounted to 76,3 mln AZN, which is more by 21,3% than in the same period of 2015.

Report informs referring to the Azerbaijan Insurers Association in the reporting period, amount of payments carried out by insurance companies were approximately 13,4 million manats. This is 29,4%more than in January 2015.

During January, 83,3%-or 63,6 mln manats of premiums accounted for voluntary insurance, which is 24,9% more in comparison with the same period of last year.

During the month, 76% of the total payment or 10,2 mln AZN accounted for voluntary insurance which is by 34,5% more than in the same period of last year.

During the reporting period 16 manats of insurance payments accounted for each 100 AZN insurance premiums.
