Currency reserves of Central Bank decrease sharply

Baku. 9 March. REPORT.AZ/ (ECB) The official currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan as of March 1, 2015 amounted to 11 004,4 million US dollars.

Report was told in CBA, during the February the figure decreased by 13% and from the beginning of the year by 20% or 2 750 million dollars.

Compared to the same period last year, a decrease in the amount of official foreign exchange reserves amounted to 24%.

The trend of decline in world oil prices began to fall, starting in July 2014.

Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves fell by 27.6% in the last 7 months though the maximum limit in late July was 15 193,4 million dollars.
