Broad money supply fell by 12% this year in Azerbaijan

Baku. 12 June. REPORT.AZ/ The broad money supply and the downward trend continued in April this year and its volume amounted to 18 982,9 mln manats as of May 1. The decrease compared with the same period of April 1 amounted to 524.5 million manats or 2.7%, and 2 583,5 million manats or 12% at the beginning of the year.

The broad money supply in manat as of May 1 amounted to 11, 004 million manats. Last month, this figure decreased by 1 489.4 million manats or 11.9% and 6 431,8 million manats or 36.9% since the beginning of the year.

The downward trend continued in the monetary base and amounted to 7 870, 2 million manats as of May 1.

Last month, this figure decreased by 1 049 million manats, or 11,8% and 3 996,7 million manats or 33,7% since the beginning of the year.

The monetary base in manat amounted to 7 418,6 million manats as of May 1. As a result, last month, a decrease amounted to 920.8 million manats or 11%, and reached 4 123,3 million manats or 35.7% since the beginning of the year.
