Baku. 10 September. REPORT.AZ/ The bank card fraud and ATM fraud have peaked during the last 20 years in the United States, Report informs citing BBC.

Thieves often use skimming devices that read data about the owner of a bank card, make a duplicate and use someone's card for their own purposes.

The number of such cards accepted at ATMs has increased by 174% in recent years, while the number of counterfeit cards that are accepted at ATMs and not owned by banks - by 317%.
