Azerbaijan decreased export by 43% this year

Baku. 17 May. REPORT.AZ/ During January-April 2016, the volume of foreign trade turnover amounted to 5 043 992,40 thousand USD. Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee, the trade turnover compared to the same period last year, decreased by 34.30%.

The volume of import operations in annual comparison decreased by 23.85% to 2 594 180,62 thousand USD, while exports decreased by 42.63% and amounted to 2 449 811,78 thousand USD.

The trade turnover recorded a negative balance of 144 368,84 thousand USD. In the same period last year, the trade surplus amounted to 867 189,17 mln USD.

During the first four months of this year, Azerbaijan had trade operations with 152 countries.During this period, 1 503 kinds of goods were exported from the country, and the range of imported goods amounted to 5 931 units.
