The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan has issued a commentary on the Fifth Opinion of the Advisory Committee on the Implementation of the Council of Europe Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities by the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, arrived in Azerbaijan on November 11 to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Report informs.
"They demonstrated a biased approach towards Azerbaijan," the deputy stressed, noting that the Council of Europe consists of not only PACE, but also the Committee of Ministers, the European Court of Human Rights, and other structures.
Özgür Özel highlighted that the Republican People's Party had supported Azerbaijan in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Socialist International. The head of state thanked Özel for the call and the congratulations.
In particular, the European Judges Union expects Armenia to follow the recommendations of the Council of Europe's Venice Commission rather than evading them.
"We believe that such politically motivated arrests in France must be investigated and assessed by the relevant institutions of the European Union, the Council of Europe and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe," Hajizada said.
“Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis made a number of anti-Azerbaijani statements at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe,” the Western Azerbaijan Community said in statement, Report informs.
