State Duma will review a draft agreement between Russia and Azerbaijan on protection of investments

Baku. 23 July. REPORT.AZ/ Russian Cabinet approved the draft of the Russian-Azerbaijani intergovernmental agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has ordered to introduce a bill on ratification of the document to the State Duma.

The agreement was signed on September 29, 2014 in Astrakhan. "The entry into force of the agreement will provide the Russian and Azerbaijani investors to long-term stability and predictability of the legal environment, will boost investment cooperation between the two countries", the cabinet declares.

Currently, according to the materials provided in the area of economic cooperation between the two countries is not fully cover the issues of protection of mutual investments and settlement of investment disputes.
