Trade ties between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing at a high level, Ruslan Mirsayapov, the trade representative of Russia in Azerbaijan, said at the opening ceremony of the Made in BRICS & SCO international exhibition held at the Baku Expo Center, Report informs.

According to Mirsayapov, the contacts are continued at the highest level: "We are mutually interested in the development of cross-country business relations. As a trade representative of Russia, we are always ready to support both Azerbaijani and Russian companies in finding a reliable partner."

He appreciated the fact that Baku was chosen as a venue for this event: "I hope that this exhibition will be held here traditionally."

In particular, Maria Suvorovskaya, the honorary representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Azerbaijan, noted that representatives from a number of regions of Russia are participating in the exhibition: "We are ready to support the access of Russian manufacturers to the Azerbaijani market. For this purpose, the office of the honorary representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Azerbaijan opened in February 2024."

Meanwhile, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia in 2023 rose by 17.5% compared to the previous year and reached $4.358 billion.
