Positive balance of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and EU decreased by 3 times

Baku. 17 August. REPORT.AZ/ The foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan with the countries of the European Union decreased by 40,6% annually and during the period January-July 2016 amounted to 3 686 636,28 thousand USD.

Report informs citing State Customs Committee, in the reporting period, exports decreased by 49,42% to 2 349 778,42 thousand USD, imports - by 14,2% amounted to 1 336 857,86 thousand USD. During the reporting period the share of the EU had 51,2% of total exports, and 28,1% of the total imports of the country.

Thus, positive balance of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and EU decreased by 3 times amounting to 1 012 920,56 thousand USD.

Italy is the main partner of Azerbaijan with trade turnover of 1 094 790,4 thousand USD , and its share accounts for 11,71% of the total foreign trade turnover of the country. In terms exports from Azerbaijan, Italy is the first country on the list and seventh in terms of imports.

Exports to Italy decreased by 42,44% annually amounting to 885 7123,71 thousand USD, imports declined by 23,73% to 209 077,7 thousand USD.
