Baku. 26 February. REPORT.AZ/ State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Rights Protection under the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan continues measures to prevent possible abuses and excessive pricing in the consumer market due to changes in exchange rate of manat.

Report informs citing the Ministry, during the monitoring of the State Service revealed cases of artificially inflated prices for butter Westgold, French Cow cheese and Oldenburger and signs of creating an artificial shortage of these products by removing them from circulation.

In this regard, a criminal case opened against the main supplier of these products - West Product Marketing Ltd - for violation of antitrust law.

The control measures in the consumer market continues.
